Fernando T. Aldaba is the Dean of the School of Sciences of the Ateneo de Manila University in the Philippines. He is also the former President of the Philippine Economic Society and the Civil Society Resource Institute. He was an Asia Research and Advocacy Advisor of the Catholic Institute for International Relations, a London-based NGO and the Secretary-General of a coalition of labor federations (1986-87), the Lakas Manggagawa Labor Center and a coalition of development NGO networks (1990-1993), CODE-NGO. Mr. Aldaba graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Engineering (cum laude) from the Ateneo de Manila University and a Doctor of Philosophy (1996) in Economics from the University of the Philippines in Diliman.
